WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE STOP TO NOTICE?

Most days don’t feel meaningful because nothing happened.

They feel that way because everything moved too quickly to take in.

You move from one thing to the next.
You respond. You keep up.

And by the end of the day, there’s a sense that something was there—
but you didn’t quite catch it.

Not because it wasn’t there.

Because your attention was somewhere else.

Our trumpet-shaped foxglove flower from the Garden of Joy invites you to pause:

What makes your heart sing?
How does your song want to be expressed?

WHAT IS THE GARDEN OF JOY? ...

The Garden of Joy is a collection of Gratitude Blooming reflection cards focused on presence, appreciation, and everyday moments that often go unnoticed.

Each card pairs artwork with a simple prompt designed to help you:

  • Reset your attention

  • Set an intention

  • Shift your perspective

  • Reconnect with what matters

You can use it on its own, alongside journaling, or in conversation with others.

It’s not about creating a new routine.

It’s about having something you can return to again and again.

How this Practice Works…
Inspired by the Foxglove Flower SING Card

What Changes Over Time

This isn’t about trying to feel grateful.

It’s about seeing more clearly.

When you have a simple way to pause, you start to notice:

  • What’s already working

  • Who or what is supporting you

  • Moments of connection you might have missed

  • Small shifts that change how your day feels

Over time, something subtle happens:

You feel less rushed.
Less pulled in different directions.
More connected to your life as it’s actually unfolding.

How frail the human heart must be —
a throbbing pulse, a trembling thing —
a fragile, shining instrument of crystal,
which can either weep, or sing.

Start with a Single Question

You don’t need a full routine.

Just a place to begin.

  • What felt unexpectedly good today?

  • Where did I feel most present?

  • What did I move through too quickly?

  • Who or what supported me—even in a small way?

  • What would I notice more if I slowed down?

  • How can I add more joy into my life?

These aren’t meant to be answered perfectly.

They’re meant to help you pause long enough to see something you might have missed.

Why this Works

Your attention is constantly being pulled in different directions.

And your brain naturally focuses on what’s wrong, urgent, or incomplete.

Without something to return to, meaningful moments get overlooked.

This practice works because it creates a small interruption.

A pause.

Just enough to shift what you see—and how you respond.

Not by forcing positivity.

But by helping you recognize more of what’s already there.
